Bonsai and a reptile

Dwarf palm trees have been added in a big way to the city landscape, as a part of token greening around new building complexes that have sprung up across Delhi. I saw this reptile making a quick meal of flies that came out of the freshly laid manure.

For Pranav, my two-years-old son, this was a bloody scene.
