As the nation is gripped by a passion that unites all, the much feted players of the India cricket team and the game of cricket are set to grip the nation like a mass fever. While the 14 nation event with millions riding on the ICC Cricket World Cup, celebrates the mega bucks and the glamour of advertising, the other Team India, ranked by millions of underprivileged children, will continue to silently support and celebrate the game and its heroes like any other day.
Without any of the basic gears, support and audience, this team India rides high on passion and dreams big. For them the game of cricket, with broken bats, improvised wickets and crowded spaces as playground, is not just a great leveler but also an expression of possibilities of change, of something better.
